VISION STATEMENT
Our vision is to provide efficient financial Management resource allocation, utilization and effective administrative support to enable the directorate to achieve its goals of providing high-quality Education and fostering an environment conducive to learning.
MISSION STATEMENT
We are committed to ensure the prudent allocation and utilization of financial resources, maintaining transparent and accountable financial practices and optimizing administrative processes. Through our expertise, dedication and collaboration, we aim to achieve;
- Financial Stewardship: We strive to manage financial resource responsibly, ensuring their effective utilization in support of educational program initiatives. Our objective is to maintain financial stability, monitor budgets and provide accurate financial reports to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Budget planning and control: We will work closely with the directorate’s leadership and stakeholders to develop comprehensive budgets aligned with strategic priorities. Our objective is to establish robust budgetary controls, monitor expenditure and provide regular updates to ensure fiscal discipline and accountability.
- Procurement and contract management: We aim to establish efficient procurement process oversee contract management to acquire goods and services necessary for educational operations. Our objective is to adhere to the procurement regulations, promote transparency and foster fair competition to obtain the best value for money for the directorate.
- A strong administrative backbone in support to provide reliable administrative services to enhance the overall efficiency of the Directorate.
- To foster effective collaboration and communication with internal and external stakeholders, including management staff, government agencies vendors.
- The main aim is to build a strong relationships, facilitate information sharing and promote a culture of transparency and openness.
LOGISTICS UNIT

Inventory Management: Ensuring the availability and proper storage of educational resources, Text books, stationaries and other materials required by students, Teachers and staff.
Procurement: Managing the acquisition of the educational materials, suppliers , equipment and services needed by the institution, including sourcing, purchasing, and inventory management .
Distribution: Effectively distributing educational resources to schools and departments.
Warehousing: Logistics in Education is responsible for the storage and management of material supplies and equipment.
BUDGET OFFICE
FUNCTIONS
- Prepares the Directorate’s annual operating and Capital budgets
Conduct reviews of departmental and office operations
- Provide the Directorate’s leadership with accurate, timely and complete information and analysis to guide planning and decision making, policy development, and allocation of financial resources.
- Ensure that taxpayer funds are spent wisely and in a manner consistent with the vision and mission of Ghana Education Service
TEACHERS’ RESOURCE CENTRE
FUNCTIONS
To serve as an avenue for organizing training and workshops for teachers in Tema.
To aslo serve as a serene environment for officers and teachers to sit and also do their research work.
As an avenue for workers to seek medical solidarity with support from warden who keep track of their daily records.
It will untimely offers professional support to Teachers, Principals and all education Personnel to promote the delivery of high standard education.
